It’s been 5 years since Avatar: The Last Airbender Book One was adapted to the big screen. Looking back now, I still like the movie. It’s not groundbreaking like Shawshank Redemption, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, or even Lord of the Rings, but it’s NOT the absolute worst movie of all time. Unfortunately, the possibility of seeing Book Two adapted is near to impossible with so much time passed. But instead of griping over the sequel, I feel I should give a retrospective look at the movie. So I’ve decided to do top 5 lists of the things this movie got right

I’ve actually gone on record a number of times saying that I don’t really think The Last Airbender is that bad a movie. The effects in it are beautiful, and it makes me sad that it could have been better. A lot better, infact. There’s a legend about a cut of the movie that is about 40 minutes longer than the theatrical cut, which itself was far superior to what the rest of us got to see.
